About me
Hi! I’m Marilyn…
As a former journalist turned tech marketer, I deeply understand the pressures of high-stress work environments and how they can fuel anxiety, stress, burnout, and fear, impacting life beyond the office. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to reassess what's working in their lives, what isn't, and what needs to change.
My approach to therapy is relational and psychodynamic, rooted in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for creating psychological safety and fostering growth. As a cisgender white woman, I am mindful of how I show up in the room and how race, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and other identities shape my clients' lived experiences. I practice with curiosity, respect, and cultural humility.
I believe that every person who comes to therapy has a unique story to tell, and perhaps even a story they'd like to rewrite. I see my role as a therapist as someone who can meet you where you are and walk alongside you, wherever your journey may lead.
